There are
very virtually no homes available on Koh Chang for under 3,000,000 Baht.
The ones that are are in small developments where owners basically rent
the land for 10 years and then build their small house. Making it
possible to have a home cheaply but also meaning that it has virtually
no resale value.
These
houses are located off the main road less than 5 minutes walk from the
beach, shops and restaurants. There are five detached
homes plus four semi-detached. The houses all have two bedrooms,
although the smaller ones are better suited to having one room used as a
bedroom and the other as a study / work room. Houses also all have two
bathrooms with the master bedroom being ensuite. In addition there
is a living room with kitchen area. Not ideal for cooking every
meal but fine for occasional use and plenty of room for gas hob,
microwave, fridge etc. Cheap restaurants are a close by and also
shops that sell fresh fruit, vegetables, meat etc.
The houses
are sold unfurnished with one AC unit in the bedroom and a hot water
shower. Each house also has a parking area and small garden. Water
and electricity are metered. A phone line and cable TV can easily
be installed.
Houses are
also available for long term rent from 12,000 Baht/month unfurnished and
from 15,000 Baht/month up furnished. Furnished rates include free
wi-fi and cable TV
Price: 2,600,000 - 3,000,000 baht.
